Save yourself the grief and DO NOT apply for a credit card with this bank. It's very easy to get one but if you're a student or don't have a fixed income and you get into trouble, they'll be on you like a pack of wolves. Where other credit vendors are more than happy to work with you in a tough patch, these jokers will punitively fee you to death at the same time they're trashing your credit rating. MBNA is by FAR more ethical and they're practically pirates. Wait times on the phone to get things sorted out can be up to 3/4 of an hour just to speak to a rude but live human, with no facility for callbacks like with credit unions. They have NO branches for actual banking in western Canada, and their so-called "investment" branches are only set up to take people's money. Just stay away, no matter how good it may look. Things won't stay that way for long.Very bad costumer service!
I looked up this site just to rate the NBC.
It is not about their products.. their products are fine. but if you want to talk to a rep on the phone it will take you soooooo long... it has been 25 min I am waiting now... and I called 3 times this week am, pm and after midnight and the 3 times I gave up after 20 min!.
Just because of that I am switching bank!
